Since its opening, the Omotesando Hills have worked closely with the local community to implement urban initiatives, participating in events at Omotesando Avenue such as "Candle Night @ Omotesando - Eco Avenue" and "Eco Avenue Movement", as well as organizing the "Ireland Festival" at Space O to coincide with the annual St. Patrick's Day parade in March. These were part of efforts to improve the local community's trend-setting drive. Communication with the local community is reinforced through sponsorship for the NPO "Greenbird" and community cleanup activities organized by the administration office and retail staff. Since the opening of Omotesando Hills, the amount of pedestrian traffic in Omotesando Boulevard has increased 150% and boosted visitors to surrounding stores, revitalizing the Omotesando area as a whole.
Partnership with local retailer's association "Harajuku Omotesando Keyakikai" has been further strengthened since 2009. The Omotesando Hills provides Space O as an event space for Omotesando Boulevard's annual October "Hello Halloween Pumpkin Parade". When the Christmas lighting of the zelkova-lined Omotesando Boulevard was revived in December 2009 after 11 years of hiatus, the Omotesando Hills played a central role in the executive committee, and set up the "Omotesando H.I.S. Skating Theater" during the illumination period.
As a landmark of Omotesando, the Omotesando Hills will continue to work with the local community to become the hub of trend information and contribute to further revitalization of the precinct.
