Omotesando Hills' Opening Ceremony on February 2nd, 2006
With the participation of Reigakusha - an internationally recognized ensemble of leading Gagaku (Japanese traditional court music and dance) musicians known for their recitals of music ranging from modern compositions to restorations of forgotten works - Omotesando Hills was host to music from the Tang Dynasty performed on reproductions of instruments of the Shosoin Imperial Repository.
The origins of Japanese music were thus presented in the most contemporary of architectural environments.
With respect and honor for the history of the Dojunkai apartments and the area of Omotesando, we created a unique space that reflects the beginning of a new era.
